Kids Listen To Coaches
....so we better make sure they are saying all the right things.
Parents, getting your child involved in organized athletics takes research.
First thing you should do is make sure the program is safe and specializes in teaching young children--
What types of coaches does the program have?
What is their background?
Are they great with very young children?
Coaches are not just a sports supervisor and not all of them can lead youth programs. For your child, you should look for programs that know the Coach is the Superhero, that they are the motivator, the role model, the fun-factor, the teacher & the mentor.
Coaches that are passionate & positive, demonstrating patience & creativity -- those are the ones that will make a real difference with your young athlete.
Youth Coaches are critical to kids’ sports experiences and the great ones will keep your kids' interest alive!
